METHOD:
Ø Wash
and soak the rice for 15 – 20 mins. Add salt and required amount of water and
cook the rice. Once the rice is cooked, take half portion of the cooked hot rice into a plate, add grated coconut on the
rice and cover it with the other half portion of rice. Allow the coconut to steam cook for 10
mins in the hot rice.
Ø Heat
2 - 3 tbsps of oil in a kadai, temper red chili’s, mustard seeds, Bengal gram,
black gram till brown. Now add curry leaves and hing and off the gas.
Ø Now
pour this tempering on to the rice and mix everything well together.
Serve it hot will papad…

You can also fry the coconut along with
tempering. But by following the above mentioned method will retain the
freshness of the coconut and gives extra ordinary flavour to your rice.
