PEPPER CHICKEN...

spicy, delicious pepper chicken, adds a special flavor to your special meals...





MARINATION TIME: 30 MINS, COOKING TIME: 20 – 25 MINS, SERVES: 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS:

CHICKEN
250 GRAMS
CURD
3 TBSPS
CHILI POWDER
1 TSP
GINGER GARLIC PASTE
½ TSP
TURMERIC POWDER
½ TSP
SALT
TO TASTE
FOR MASALA:
BLACK PEPPER BALLS
1 TBSP
CLOVES
3 – 4
CINNAMON STICK
1 INCH PIECE
FOR GARNISH:
CASHEWS
AS REQUIRED (FRIED IN OIL)
ONION
½ SLICED (FRIED IN OIL)
CURRY LEAVES
FEW (FRIED IN OIL)

METHOD:

 Ø  Clean and wash the chicken, add curd, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, ginger garlic paste and marinate the chicken for 30 mins.
                             

 Ø  For masala, roast all the ingredients mentioned together and grind it into fine powder.


 Ø  Heat a pan, add the marinated chicken and cook it till the chicken is completely cooked on a low flame. (do not add water. Cook it with the water coming from the chicken while cooking).



 Ø  Once the chicken is cooked, roast it till dry and add 1 tsp oil, the masala powder and roast it for 2 – 3 mins and off the gas.



Garnish with the fried onions, cashews and curry leaves and serve it hot…
