a different sweet dish made out of broken wheat... healthy, yummy, delicious... it is said that goddess lakshmi likes the dishes made of broken wheat... and since my mom was performing some special puja on friday's she is preparing this sweet for prasadham.. though i hesitated to taste it in the beginning, i loved it after having it... now i wanna hav it again n again... hope u also will droll for it...
COOKING TIME: 20 MINS, RESTING TIME: 20 MINS, SERVES: 4 – 6 MINS.
INGREDIENTS:
GODHUMA
RAVA (BROKEN WHEAT)

METHOD:
Ø Clean
and wash the godhuma rava, add 3 cups water to it and pressure cook it for one
whistle and off the gas. Once the pressure is released, remove the lid, on the
flame and allow it to boil.
Ø Now
add sugar and cardamom powder and cook till the sugar melts and starts boiling,
off the gas.
Ø Boil
the 2 cups milk until it becomes one cup separately and allow it to cool. Now
add the milk to the cooked rava, stir it and rest it for 20 – 30 mins.
Garnish it with desired dry fruits
and serve it….
SUGGESTIONS:
ü You
can also add more milk as desired.
ü Always
boil milk for longer time till milk becomes half of the original quantity for
sweets like payasam for a better taste.
