COOKING TIME: 20 MINS, RESTING TIME: 20 MINS, SERVES: 4 – 6 MINS.

INGREDIENTS:

GODHUMA RAVA (BROKEN WHEAT)
1 CUP
SUGAR
1 ½ CUP
MILK
2 CUP
CARDAMOM POWDER (OPTIONAL)
½ TSP
CASHEWS, DRY GRAPES
AS DESIRED

METHOD:

Ø  Clean and wash the godhuma rava, add 3 cups water to it and pressure cook it for one whistle and off the gas. Once the pressure is released, remove the lid, on the flame and allow it to boil.

Ø  Now add sugar and cardamom powder and cook till the sugar melts and starts boiling, off the gas.

Ø  Boil the 2 cups milk until it becomes one cup separately and allow it to cool. Now add the milk to the cooked rava, stir it and rest it for 20 – 30 mins.

Garnish it with desired dry fruits and serve it….

SUGGESTIONS:

ü  You can also add more milk as desired.

ü  Always boil milk for longer time till milk becomes half of the original quantity for sweets like payasam for a better taste.
