MANGO RICE...

summer means mangoes all around... the kitchen's are filled with the aroma of mango recipes... i had recently been to a store and found the raw mango and thought of preparing this recipe and sharing it with you all... hope you guys like it...

TIME TAKEN: LESS THAN 30 MINS, SERVES: 2

INGREDIENTS:

RICE
1 CUP (COOKED)
RAW MANGO
1 GRATED
GREEN CHILI’S
3 – 4
CURRY LEAVES
HAND FULL
TURMERIC POWDER
½ TSP
SALT
TO TASTE
MUSTARD SEEDS
1 TSP
BENGAL GRAM
1 TSP
BLACK GRAM
1 TSP
PEANUTS
1/4TH CUP
HING
A PINCH

METHOD:

Ø  Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, Bengal gram, black gram and peanuts and fry them till brown, now add green chili’s and cook for 1 – 2 mins and add curry leaves and fry them.

Ø  Now add turmeric powder, stir it and add grated mango, salt and saute for 3 – 5 mins. Add the cooked rice and mix thoroughly.

Serve it hot and enjoy your meal…

SUGGESTIONS:

ü  Add the grated mango carefully depending on the sourness. The mango I used was not too sour, so I had to use the whole mango. But if the mango your using is sour you do not have to use the whole mango.

ü  You can also use red chili’s instead of green chili’s if desired.
