BREAD HALWA

this is my favourite sweet dish, easy to make and takes very less time to prepare



TIME TAKEN: 20 MINS

INGREDIENTS

BREAD SLICES: 6
MILK: 250 ml (BOILED)
SUGAR: 75 GRAMS
GHEE: 1/2 CUP
CASHEWS: FOR GARNISH

METHOD


  • Add little water to the sugar and make it in to a sugar syrup. 
     
  • Heat ghee in a pan fry cashews till golden brown, keep them aside. cut the bread slices into four, add them to the pan and fry till brown and crispy on a low flame. 

  • Now add boiled milk to the bread and cook till the milk is completely absorbed. Now add sugar syrup to it and cook it till the syrup is absorbed.
 
  • Rest it for five to ten mins. Garnish it with cashews and the halwa is ready to serve.
