KODI KURA...
sunday's are always very special at my home... the whole house fills with the aroma of fully flavoured masala cooking in the kitchen... from my childhood it is been a tradition of cooking non - veg on sunday 's at home.. though they cook it on weekdays also, sunday's become a must for non-veg menu... most of our get togethers are planned on sunday's since everyone will eat non-veg on sunday and they don't fast for any god and have no restriction's.. as i am a pure non - vegetarian, i always wait for sunday's and start planning the sunday 's menu 2 - 3 days earlier..
since i love non - veg, i keep trying to learn new varieties... last year i met one of my granny who stays in hyderabad and learnt this recipe from her... i loved it so much... she is a great cook and is specialist in cooking non - veg varieties.. and she told me the recipe of this.. i tried it two to three times at home and it always turned out extra ordinary... i wanted to share this recipe with you all and hence presenting yo uthe delicious recipe of chicken...hope you like this recipe... :-)

MINI IDLY SAMBAR
south india's famous breakfast, evening snack or dinner recipe... tastes awesome when served hot and with a lot of ghee... though my mom makes this at home frequently from my childhood, i started liking it only after having it in one of my friends place... have to mention what a great cook my friends granny was.. i miss her food these days anyway... my mom got the sambar recipe from her and started preparing this recipe from then on... i eagerly wait for my mom to prepare this because idly is something very rarely cooked in our kitchen since no one likes idly in my home... and now even i learnt how to cook this sambar... but the recipe shown here is cooked by my mom.. because it taste best when prepared by mom's.. there is some magic in mother's hand... hope this recipe will make you droll... :-) :-)
DOSAKAYA PACHADI
presenting you another "roti pachadi" variety, "DOSAKAYA PACHADI", made out of a variety of cucumber... in andhra most of the people start their meal with pachadi (made in grinding stone and are prepared freshly) or pickles (made in advance, mostly seasonal and are stored for months). hence these items will be present on all the dining tables across the state.. dosakaya pachadi is one among them, and is very frequently prepared in most of the houses...
as we leave in chennai, my mom is not that satisfied with the taste of the cucumber we get here in chennai market. so she makes sure that she will get some cucumbers when ever she goes to our hometown.. recently we went to andhra for one of our family wedding and my mom got few cucumbers to make this pachadi... hope you like the recipe...

Soddha burelu (sajja burelu) is a
sweet dish very famous in the rural parts of Andhra Pradesh…. Soddhalu or
sajjalu (bajra) is one of the oldest millets used by our ancestors in their
regular diet. Many of them in this generation are unaware of this millets which
has very high nutrition values and benefits. Bajra millets are known to have
high fiber content which makes it healthier. Dieticians and nutritionist are trying
their best to promote this particular millet and increase its consumption by
educating its benefits among all groups of people. (courtesy: google search)
These days it is very difficult
to feed children with such kind of healthier food. This recipe being a sweet
dish has a great flavour and taste, and kids will also like it. This dish is
usually cooked by my great grand mom and my grand mom during the important
festivals along with other sweets and savory.
Though this sweet doesn't looks
attractive, it is very healthy and very tasty. Being rich in nutrition’s it is
good for all age groups.
