ROYYALA PULUSU...

yummy, delicious and juicy prawns flavored with tomatoes and tamarind juice... it s a great treat to your taste buds...  




TIME TAKEN: 30 MINS, SERVES: 2

INGREDIENTS:

PRAWNS
250 GRAMS
ONIONS
1 MEDIUM
TOMATO
2 SMALL
CURRY LEAVES
10
TAMARIND PASTE
2 tbsps.
SALT
TO TASTE
MUSTARD SEEDS
½ tsp.
FENUGREEK (METHI SEEDS)
½ tsp.
RED CHILI POWDER
2 tsp.
TURMERIC POWDER
1 tsp.

METHOD:

 Ø  Clean the prawns, add salt and turmeric powder and cook them with the water that comes out of prawns while cooking, till all the water evaporates. (you can store the prawns cooked like this for longer time in freezer, and use it whenever required).


 Ø  Heat oil in a kadai, temper methi seeds and mustard seeds. Add onions fry for 2 – 3 mins, add curry leaves and fry till light brown. Now add chopped tomatoes and cook till soft.



 Ø  Extract juice from the tamarind paste with one cup water, add it to the tomatoes. Add salt, chilli powder and allow it to boil. Now add cooked prawns and allow it cook the gravy gets thicker and off the gas. (since the prawns are already cooked you don’t have to add more water now).



t   Serve it hot with rice…
