GAJAR KA HALWA

now temme who can resist after seeing this yummy delicious gajar ka halwa... i can't wait any longer to have it... 




TIME TAKEN: 20 - 30 MINS, SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS:

GAJAR
½ KILO (GRATED)
SUGAR
100 GRAMS
GHEE
3 tbsp
MILK
1/4th CUP
MILK MAID
3 – 4 tbsp
BADAM
10 (SOAKED OVER NIGHT AND CHOPPED FINELY)
CASHEWS
10 (FRIED IN GHEE)


METHOD:

 Ø  Heat ghee in a pressure pan, add gajar and fry it till the raw smell disappears. Add milk, stir it and pressure cook it for 1 whistle.




 Ø  Once the pressure is released, add sugar and cook it for 5 mins (until the sugar dissolves and gets thick). Now add milk maid, cook it for 2 – 3 mins and off the gas.




Allow it to cool and garnish it with chopped badam and cashews and serve warm..

SUGGETIONS:

  • Milk maid is optional. In case you are not adding milk maid add additional sugar to the halwa.
  • Kova can also be added according to your desire. If adding kova, add it in the last and cook it for 2 - 3 mins.
