GONGURA RICE

hmmm... yummy mouth watering gongura rice... 






INGREDIENTS:

GONGURA LEAVES
30
RED CHILLI’S
4 - 5
GARLIC CLOVES
5 - 6
GARAM MASALA
1 tbsp
RICE
1 CUP
ONIONS
1 MEDIUM
GINGER GARLIC PASTE
1 tbsp
SALT
TO TASTE

METHOD:

 Ø  Wash and soak the rice for 15 - 20 mins. Add salt to the rice and cook it.

 Ø  Soak red chilli’s in warm water for 15 mins and grind it into fine paste.



 Ø  Add one spoon oil in a pan, gogura leaves, 1/4th cup water to it  and cook for 2 – 3 mins. Cool it down and grind it into a fine puree.



 Ø  Heat oil in a kadai, add chopped garlic cloves and sauté them. Add onions, fry till light brown, add ginger garlic paste and sauté it. Now add red chilli paste to it and fry till the raw smell disappears.




 Ø   Then, add gongura paste, salt, and cook till the raw smell disappears. Now add garam masala, cook for 2 mins and add cooked rice and 1 tbsp ghee (optional) to it and mix it well thoroughly.


     delicious gongura rice is ready to serve hot.
